Pretty much everyone experiences that, though. There's a reason emo was a big deal for a quick second there. A lot of young people were feeling silenced & ignored.
We all get Othered. We all get shut down when we try to step outside of the box constructed by the people around us. We all get told we need to sound, act & think more like other people.
That fucking trauma keeps being inflicted by a society forcing conformism.
That, folks, is one of the reasons fascism is murder on the soul.
