The husky was more like this, the more aggressive dog I've trained. It got a couple back flips.
Good point on being welcomed back to the pack. After any isolation I'm always sure I've regained my composure, and there is no further punishment.
When doing the puppy biting training, I'd often go right back to playing after the timeout was over. I think that helps quickly ingrain the concept of correct behavior. Repeated lessons, with chance to prove the understanding of the concept.
