Malamutes are insanely strong. My previous malamute once pulled so hard that he snapped his metal pinch collar in two. I was always trying to find some way to make walking him easier. In most things, he was very trainable, but I couldn't stop him pulling. Walking him required leaning back at a 45 degree angle to control our speed.
