Kids are wonderful and a blessing. If you homeschool, it will grow your closeness with your kids. If you export their care to the government, they will feel abandoned and be indoctrinated. Things may get rough. When you value your kids, they usually value you. When you fail to spend time with them, they revolt.
My kids are a joy, especially my eldest. My special needs son has some rare, but violent outburst that I could do without, but most of the time he is an absolute delight.
