That's wise. I try to do the same. Helping someone who doesn't want to help themselves isn't real help, it's a condemnation that lets them keep making the same mistakes. If a heroin addict asks you for money because they're in horrendous pain and you give it to them, you haven't helped, you've only extended the pain
