Every mind exists in a matrix of its own making (though oftentimes strongly influenced by others, it is the individual's choice of what information they cling to as "truths"), the best we can do as individuals is be aware of this and always be challenging our own beliefs against the hard truths of reality.
When reality shatters their false beliefs, that is when they will be most open to new information, and they may even remember the truths that you had shared with them even while they were still closed off at the time.
quotingEven if reality proves that you are right about something people won’t necessary believe it or do something about it.

They won’t necessary react as you expect them to. Don’t get attached to the outcomes.
Just do what you feel is the right thing.
