This anime, “FX Fighter KURUMICHAN” is absolutely demonic and the most unbelievably unethical thing I have potentially ever seen out of Japan, an island whose most notable outputs are animated services for pedophiles and videos of desperate nude women drinking slurries of blended cockroaches. I have absolutely zero doubt that significant amounts of the funding comes from the FX industry.

For those not in the know, FX brokerages are notoriously scammy. I have seen most of the “reputable” ones reverse trades right in front of my fucking eyes. It is nearly completely unregulated because they maintain a legal fiction that they are basically no different from the guy that changes your money at the airport when you land. Even though it is obviously gambling, you do not need any kind of gaming license. There’s no major accounting oversight unlike every single other category of exchange on the planet. Buying memecoins on Kraken is more heavily regulated. And nobody is actually withdrawing these foreign currencies to their local bank accounts so if you’re short on reserves you can just fudge the books of your customers. They are all doing this!

This is a cartoon. For children and emotionally stunted, lonely and vulnerable adults. And the very explicit message of it is — “your family is in a vulnerable financial situation? Just download an FX app and you will become a real financial professional in our totally not rigged not casino!” This is encouraging children to become fish and lose their money. I don’t have words for how basely wrong this is. If tobacco companies made an anime full of fan service about how awesome smoking is we’d literally charge them with crimes. We have laws against it. Unlike smoking, FX “trading” does not provide cognitive utility. You’d rather have your kid smoking 2 packs a day than getting into it.
