Nostr is not designed for storing big blobs of data, but relaying small text notes. Big blob storage is expensive, there is no good sustainable funding model for this aside from subscriptions to relays. One alternative is to make users store and relay the blobs. This is what freenet does in a decentralized, private way, and it does it well. I'm very glad to see nostr leveraging existing tech instead of reinventing the wheel.
