That said, having built numerous decentralized FOSS services, some even years before Nostr, I’m still convinced most people who claim to want decentralized services but when push comes to shove they don’t and willfully choose centralized services with all the bells and whistles and ease of control. This is incredibly apparent with regards to podcasters who simply choose not to publish their videos/audio on Nostr (whether that’s on Plebs, Nostube, or a simple kind 1 note) they instead link to YouTube or other centralized 3rd party. 🫠
