We sure did. Every mall had at least one arcade, and most restaurants, bowling alleys, etc., had a couple games.
My earliest memories of games were buddies older brothers forgotten Atari’s.
Then the Christmas when I was 5 or 6 (85 or 86), I got a Nintendo, as I was the oldest. Literally had teenagers asking if they could come play 😆
90s saw it advance so fast. If we didn’t have beer or girls, we were playing Golden Eye or Mario Cart on the 64.

Oh, and the world sucked a lot less, and the majority of my childhood was outside, unsupervised, and glorious.
