Centralized services operating under government regulations are becoming increasingly restrictive. The latest is that they have blocked funds coming from Boltz for failing to comply with their AML terms.

If Boltz is blocked across the board, all the progress we have made will go to waste and we will not have Bitcoin layers that are interoperable with each other. We cannot depend on a centralized service.

Once again, the folks at Monero are doing better than us. They have Eigenwallet, a decentralized service for exchanging Bitcoin for Monero through makers.

We have Boltz's code, which we know works, now we have to create a maker system like Joinmarket or Eigenwallet.

Sooner or later, they will also end up blocking Bitcoins coming from Liquid.

The solution for merchants also involves using solutions like BTCPay Server and not using government-regulated crap.
