If you can double your budget and go up a generation that would save you a lot of pain... maybe to the Prusa MK3S or MK4 (open source hardware, made in EU and parts are generic), check your local 2nd hand marketplaces.
Owning a 3D printer is a project in itself, I would recommend starting with a working 2nd hand model and then upgrading. Spending 150 on parts for an older gen printer than is probably worth 150-200 when working doesnt sound like a good idea.
