In the early 2000’s, in the days of big cable co.’s, I heard a media mogul predict that all of the channels would separate, and people would need a subscription to each one individually.
It seemed far fetched to me - but what he described is EXACTLY what happened.
It was wild to watch.
It’s more wild to watch the pendulum swing back as the windows swallow up the losers.
As a consumer - i hated cable companies - but overall it was a better experience than juggling a bunch of subscription services.
