Posting here since the other thread is too long lol. I do see a significant distinction here. I don’t see why a mercenary of the state should be afforded the same privacy as a private citizen. They are paid with tax money I didn’t consent to giving, in order to carry out policies I didn’t consent to either. It is not even possible to make the argument that one should comply with a plain clothes, masked ICE officer. For all you know, they could be criminals trying to abduct you. You would have no way to be sure.
