Very likely the developers published and then deleted the release: https://github.com/permissionlesstech/bitchat-android/releases/download/1.6.0/bitchat-1.6.apk returns a 404. Maybe calle (npub12rv…85vg) can confirm.
Zapstore should handle these edge cases more carefully but it's not a priority at the moment. Better messaging around this error in version 1.0.
