It was the first year I had gained lucid dreaming ability. All of my dreams were lucid and because I was lucid every single day, I kept experimenting with many different things. I would ask the people in my dreams to say something in a language I didn’t know but they couldn’t. Sometimes I talked about the fact that we were inside a dream, which caused them to malfunction. They were all like robots with no free will, like NPCs programmed entirely around my own intentions.
One day, in a lucid dream, I noticed someone in a crowd whom I could not control. He looked like the human embodiment of a Baphomet figure and his skin was as hard as an ant’s shell. I immediately went up to him and asked what his name was. NPCs usually either say a name I have assigned to them or malfunction but this person smiled in a disturbing way and said “Medembe,” as if to say “look, I have my own will.” Because this was the first time in my lucid dreaming experience that I was told a word I had never known before, I woke up in extreme fear.
I still don’t know what Medembe means. I had never heard it before. This remains the most interesting and chilling event in my lucid dreaming life, and it still comes to my mind from time to time.
