Discernment is obviously valuable but it’s also not right to conclude that things are acceptable just because they fall short of the most extreme case. Dave and Glenn both opposed regime change efforts in Syria and Lybia without saying either were just as bad as Iraq. Predicting that this and Iran will end badly too doesn’t seem like an overreaction, to me.
It’s also not right to excuse state violence on the grounds that the candidate who won campaigned on it. Had Kamala won, continuing the crazy shit they were doing would still have been wrong.
