If you don’t see it in the conf file then there’s a hard coded default that is automatically set by Bitcoin core. They bump that default value up on every new release. During reindexing of assumevalid blocks I see low cpu usage. I’m not sure what the bottleneck is there. Nothing in my system seems to be maxed out during that assumevalid part of re-indexing/IBD.
