GM Nostriches, yesterday was a very good day, time with my mother, talking my daughter back from the ledge while buying new school shoes, two very good meals out, cake baked (by daughter and mother) AND a bike ride. Maybe a high bar for today to live up to, but already dressed in my biking clothes, ready to get the kid out into what looks like a better weather than yesterday.....

Really unsure how may mother deals with some of my opinions on the world, like me, she is very much what one would have called a liberal in the 90's, but while I appreciate how my views may have developed, I'm unsure how she connects with the group she used to view as her's. But on the plus side, when I present my views of what is happening in the US, IE, if you don't want to agitate some pretty wild ICE guys, probably better you stay at home, and definitely don't drive towards someone with a gun, she was still able to see the logic in the argument (the left is a long way from capturing her!)
