Im not sure I agree. Would they have the capital to continue running these platforms that manipulate you into continuing to interact? Would they have it to manage all of this data? How will they raise capital to train ever bigger models if they don’t have the money printer?
A big source of data outside social media are large corporations as well. If tons of them go bust in the transition to hard money, that’s another very rich source of data that could disappear.
