This definitely runs counter to my usual privacy stuff that I post here, but...but what happened to caller ID?
Back when everyone had landlines in the 90s and into the early 2000s, caller ID was such a common thing and was really helpful too. It helped us know whether to pick up a number.
Now, if someone isn't in your mobile's phone book, then it's just another unknown number. Have we gone backwards?
