It’s not “privacy is impossible,” it’s that people who shout the loudest about “state-level adversaries” always skip the part where state-level adversaries operate below your software. If you’re going to preach about CEX KYC doom and Monero purity tests, then start at the actual root of the threat: hardware. ME, PSP, TrustZone, sealed boot ROMs — if those aren’t neutralized, you don’t have state-level protection at all, you just have good opsec running on compromised foundations. I’m not the fed here — I’m the one pointing out that you can’t claim nation-state resistance while running your privacy stack on stock Intel, AMD, Apple, or a smartphone.
