i believe that's what they're doing (seeking consent). and that's why this is also my "least" favorite part of bitcoin - because it instigates "coalition building", culture wars, propaganda, tribalism, infigthing, etc - all the shit i'd prefer to leave behind, if only it weren't mathematically impossible to do so while interacting with other people
