Familiar with the double empathy problem related to autism? Let's say my empathy skills vary strongly from person to person.
I think autism is an extreme case but but the principle applies all over the place.
I have a bit of a reputation around this as someone who is "out" as autistic. I feel quite free to put people on the spot for being rude. It's a pet peeve because the stereotype is that we are rude so I like to lean into pointing out casual rudeness by neurotypicals.
