1.1.9 just dropped, and will be active on chrome webstore sometime in the next few days. firefox is so much simpler, shame that nobody has made a firefox fork as good as brave:

it will automatically update itself if it gets updated, and it will alert you with a little exclamation mark on the extension button to let you know it's about to update.
changes in this version:
- Pause/Resume signing — You can now temporarily pause the signer to stop all signing and encryption requests without locking your vault
- Debug logging — New Logs page in settings shows a live log of signer activity, with export to file for troubleshooting
- Update notifications — The extension icon now shows a red badge when a new version is ready to install
- Improved reliability — Content script now retries on transient connection errors instead of failing silently
