I find a lot of people find SimpleX intuitive too. Especially before download, I can just give them my 1 time link or QR code and it already takes them to the website to download the app. I've already gotten most of my family and all my close friends over in SimpleX.
Surprisingly lots of people give pushback on giving their number to Signal. Kinda funny when they're already DMing on social media sites, using SMS, etc.
