God takes sin personally.
He doesn't forgive, and why should He? He is the perfect God of Creation. Severe and unyielding perfection.
Yet God loves us His creatures whom He created in His image, granting us free will even as we rebelled, even as our hearts became God-hating, even as we became proud, counting ourselves as equals, judging God!
Even knowing that, God preset aside a people to redeem through His son Jesus Christ, that we might glorify Him and enjoy Him forever.
