hm TIL or rather, YIL (yesterday I learned), that the chinese character for ‘talk’ has the two parts - the left part, the radical (字旁), I always knew about

but I just found out the right part has to do with money.
兑 cash, exchange, barter
wow. It’s such a commonly and often used word. People are always using it like, ‘I said to him …. they said … etc.’
eh I just find this very interesting.
