My fear is that they first roll out this and then ban e.g. E2EE communication apps (at least here in EU with the Chat Control etc). I'm running GrapheneOS (nprofile…xdyf) myself so I shouldn't be affected and I have told my family to at least consider it too when they're upgrading their phone the next time.
