Yup. Like Cafelog, it sputtered out but Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little saw the potential, what could be fixed, hard forked it we got WordPress.
Cafelog had all the foundations, real novel stuff. But you needed a bunch of PHP/MySQL skills to boot it up, UI was functional but cluttered and developer-focused, etc. Nostr feels like a modern-day Cafelog. And it's not going to be WordPress without a hard fork.
