I personally default to Brave search, mostly because they're one of the few non big tech search engines that indexes the web instead of proxying results. If it acts up, though, I'd usually just resort to Bing or Google.
(Pro tip: "!b" & "!g" at the end of your search in Brave or Duck Duck Go to redirect to that engine).
