Meh, it’s more nuanced than that. Dealing with miner centralization from out of band transaction submission may cost us relay filtering…was it worth fixing this issue _now_? Of course not.

But until someone can find a way to filter st the relay level and stop out of band transaction submission to miners, I don’t care about consensus valid data storage…bitcoin is going to have to deal with it eventually anyhow, so why not now?
