With lots of trial and error, I got it eventually! Once I figured out how to get the config file to fetch the APK from my computer instead of downloading it, but still get the metadata from Codeberg, it worked. Just had to set up my signatures and all that to properly sign the file.
If more specific feedback is helpful, I'd be happy to share. It did work in the end!
