I don’t really have any opinions, it just feels overly complicated to me, haha. And I’m not convinced that social apps actually need a strict read/unread state like email.
I think this desire mostly comes from chronological feeds constantly showing content you’ve already seen. Maybe an algorithmic relay would be a more elegant solution? Too bad there hasn’t been any news about those lately.
