For opposing POV, the thing that really excites me right now is that I see how massive productivity improvements are already starting to happen with existing models, new models will likely be much better, and right now the open weights model Kimi 2.5 is by all accounts *almost* as good as Opus 4.5 - Anthropic's flagship model.
This big labs so far have no moat at all around model weights. All the that alpha is leaking into the commons on a ~6 month delay. And if you're not a dev using cutting edge techniques you probably are not seeing how massive the alpha is.

I liked that we were so deliberate about our actions, about ethics, about everything and now most of nostr is just helping build the slop industrial complex and i hate it.
If i don't find a way to tune this out, I'll probably just disconnect.
Ohh yeah and bitcoin is taking a beating and no one seems to care, and not in a good way.
