My approach involves creating what I am calling a “Life Context Journal.” Using Apple’s Shortcuts app I created a suite of “apps” (8 so far) that either pull data directly from the Health app or allow me to add manually. All of this data gets stored in a .txt file locally on my phone and backed up daily to iCloud. The .txt file is formatted in a way that makes it readable for both a human and an AI. I upload the.txt file to my AI of choice and have a variety of prompts that examine the data. So far the experience has been fantastic! The benefit of combining hard external data such as labs via the medical system with journal entries gathered either by wearables and or voluntary journal entries is that the AI can see more “life context” such as step count, heart data, blood pressure, mindfulness minutes, sleep data as well as mood, screen time meds and supplements, food and habit patterns. Depending on how you craft your prompts, you can get great feedback beyond the health focus as well.
