Honestly, coding can be boring af. Reading coding books for the sale of it even more so.

The hack is to immediately start by building something you want. And use google/ai to figure out the first steps.

If I were starting today I’d open Claude (or ChatGPT) and say something like

“I want to build X but I’ve never written code before. Ask me questions one at a time to help me come up with a plan, then help me execute that plan. Teach me what to do, why, and how. (Maybe separate prompts)”

Then you can learn at your own pace and stay motivated cause you’re building something you want with tools that’s customize the learning experience to you.

Your app will likely suck, but you’ll learn a lot along the way. Next app won’t suck so much.
