Deloris Canon calls them background people, like extras on a movie set. They're there to fill up space.
I've also heard them referred to as biological portals.
I prefer to think of them as AFKs. There's a soul there, it's just completely disconnected from the body. The body is running on autopilot, they're AFK.
My guess is 80-90% now. A lot woke up over COVlD.
