Potential Nostr attack vector:
Since Nostr has a higher technical barrier to entry, its users will consist solely on people of the right side of the the bell curve.
This may sound like a good thing, but here's what could happen:
The lack of the "shotgun redneck" left-side tail-end of the bell curve can skew political opinions on Nostr to favor the middle-of-the-bell-curve people. You know, the people who pushed for censorship on the legacy platforms.
Add to this that the illusion that one can "delete" posts simply doesn't exist in most Nostr clients. The perceived permanency of Nostr-posting could incentivize people to self-censor more.
In the long run, this could lead to suppression of unpopular political ideas and, following that, people with more "extreme" political views leaving.
WDYT? Legitimate concern or is there another angle here?
