I have similar conversations with people in general about the state of the current crop of politicians that think because they win a high school popularity contest they are fit too run anything.
Unfortunately we pick them at the local level, so my suggestion here would be to build communities and culture.
Success breeds copycats which ultimately shifts the culture and then the politics.
Start chopping at the base of the tree rather than trying to top it.. 😁
