IDK the numbers for Dresden, but after the (carefully engineered) firestorm in the civilian suburbs of Hamburg, it took less than 24 hours to get the railways and tramways running again.
According to Albert Speer, it took only three days for Hamburg's munitions ouput to exceed the output before the attacks. Worker absenteeism and sabotage dropped to zero.
Killing working class families does little to impede logistics, and is negatively useful for anything else. But its very satisfying to a certain type of professional politician, so we keep doing it.
