Catholicism in Japan is easy to miss. A small church in the middle of nowhere, a weekday Mass with a handful of people, a school chapel that most pass without noticing. It isn’t always a “legacy of the past” story. Much of it is simply ordinary: quiet faith, steady routines, small acts of care. Not loud, not trying to win the skyline, just there, living alongside everything else and spreading the Truth, the Way of Christ.
日本のカトリックは、気づかれにくい。人里離れたところにある小さな教会、平日のミサに集まる数人、ほとんどの人が意識せずに通り過ぎる学校の礼拝堂。これはいつも「過去の名残」という話ではない。多くはただの日常だ。静かな信仰、続いていく習慣、小さな思いやり。騒がしくもなく、目立とうともしない。ただそこにあって、周りの暮らしと並びながら、キリストの道と真理を伝えている。
