For an example “life” is a natural right as described in the declaration of independence as an “inalienable right.” It articulates an inherent relation/duty/responsibilty one rational human being has to another.
It’s not wrong to randomly murder another person on a tuesday because congresses passed a law.
It’s wrong because the act is contrary to the actors rational nature as a human being. human nature does not change.
Compared to “voting” which is a legal right. the right to vote is not found inherently within a human being, it’s created by law and can change.
If they change a the voting laws, they aren’t changing human nature, just the legal code. women not voting, only land owners voting, having photo id: these voting laws have changed and every time they do it has nothing to do with human nature.
