by design, hash will always go where the value resides.
It doesn't matter if it's a chain with a different history.
The only reason to argue about it is because you want to preserve the *fiat value* of your UTXOs.

it doesn't matter at all if that hash is mining the BTC ticker or BCH.
they are both #Bitcoin.
seen in this light, there is no reason to fuck around with design too much,
forks will naturally happen if enough people find value in a new chain to pay somebody to mine it.
