If someone makes a threat on Nostr that you deem to be valid, it might be wise to do the following steps:

1. Record their npub (and other mutable identifiers)
2. Record the noteID's and eventID's of the conversation
3. Copy the text of each note in the conversation

If you feel that you are in actual danger, you can use these items to state your claim to local law enforcement so they have a suspect for your murder, or give you a minimal decades-long sentence for defending yourself.
