Good on you mate, and this used to be the rule rather than the exception. Today the vast majority of immigrants are entitled dregs just washing up on shore. I'm a big fan of "the immigrant looking to build a better life" build being the key word. I've seen both types, in my family and outside of it, and my view is that the previous generations of immigrants had the settler mindset, and the current generation, by and large, do not.
