Well, now that I listened to Read_928, I may have to revise my whole thesis on the degeneration of knowledge...maybe 2020 had little to do with it. Dammit Guy!

I just finished messaging with a friend, who asked me about some “chem trails” he noticed, and took photos of. We messaged back and forth, me essentially explaining that, while they do contain hundreds of pounds of dihydrogen monoxide, you could breathe it and still be fine (unlike Coca Cola or swimming pools, which contain lethal concentrations of the stuff.)

Then it went to cloud seeding, which then led to me saying (typing) “look: flat earth, fake moon landing, geoengineering, chem trails, all just a psyop or mass formation.” He had to go, but he wants to continue this conversation in person or by phone, which is nice. Then, as I woke up this morning, a thought came to me about just how “mainstream” these theories have become. Not just a few people online, but friends in meatspace.

I was a bit stunned when that thought hit me. I sometimes saw it online, on forums, here and there. I never thought that I was some kind of renaissance man, or even very well educated (I do have a bachelors degree). Maybe I actually am now...like in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king sort of way. I’ve just done enough things in my life to disprove all of these notions to myself, experimentally, PoW style, in chemistry labs, film cameras and darkrooms and digital photography, in aerospace and with VHF/UHF radios...

It also was a wake-up call for me: what am I buying from snake-oil salesmen? I’m sure I am buying something from someone, somewhere, that I shouldn’t be, about something. So, if you got this far, GM!!!
