Maybe i get it wrong but the whole idea of a signer is that it sorta adds security. You can use it offline or even better: airgapped. Why would you also want to burden it with broadcasting events? Then it must be online in at least a one-way fashion. Clients are made for receiving and sending out events, so it makes very little sense to me to have to write an event and then have it signed by the signer who also does the sending.
It could be that i am just misinterpreting something so correct me if i'm wrong.
