I feel really blessed and lucky. I've prayed for freedom, abundance, and love; and what do I have now? I am free, making a big pot of soup and just got off the phone with a dear friend.

We lived together almost two decades ago and still chat regularly. She was telling me about how much bread she's been making, and was running to the store to get dumpling ingredients as the new year holiday is approaching.

We both agreed that staying home and getting fat off home made bread was one small step towards world peace. There is so much we can't control in this world but we can control our minds and our attitudes. If I can give myself and my puppy peace, then I'm one step closer to giving my neighbors peace.

Princess Aurora and I are still locked in the house with a foot of ice preventing any errands or outings. But I have enough to make soup, bacon, cheesy biscuits, and cookies for the next month without resupply if need be. Princess Aurora has treats of every kind and we've been playing outside in the yard (until I get tired of falling) every day.

I feel very blessed and lucky indeed, thank you God thank you God thank you God!
