It seems that destruction of precancerous cells via autophagic-induced apoptosis (while fasting or otherwise) is the trade-off the DNA of humanity chose — perhaps in favor of more aggressive proliferation. Now that the human race is highly evolved, we may be able to shift that trade-off away from indiscriminate apoptosis of mildly damage cells to only inducing apoptosis in cells that are resistant to these advanced forms of DNA repair! 🧬
I wish jack (npub1sg6…f63m) would get interested in longevity — after what happened to Hal and ALS, it would be nice to see an extropian revival. The original cypherpunks were extropians after all.
